In 2004, my family and I moved to Puriscal, Costa Rica. We had our second baby and chose to homeschool. My creative outlet became a blog about life as a young, expat mother. I gave myself a weekly assignment of spitting something creative out, regardless of the time I had. The weeks turned into years of tropical novelties, personal observations and highlights of two growing girls.

Avenir Light is a clean and stylish font favored by designers. It's easy on the eyes and a great go-to font for titles, paragraphs & more.

In 2011 we moved away from Costa Rica, and later that year, our good friends tragically lost one of their daughters amidst a dispute with local authorities regarding our friends' residency status and vaccine mandates. At that time, I turned the the platform of my blog over to our friends, and it became a public record of their ordeal. Ultimately, I created a new blog where I transferred their experience, in chronological order.
